In the pool of people's names, my name Kei is often the shortest and simplest. "Not Just A Letter" emphasizes that my persona, in contrast to the letter "k" hinted by my name, is neither typical nor ordinary. There are exciting (and sometimes out of this world) twists and turns in who I am and what I do. I hope you follow my journey in illustrating myself using an electrifying medley of letters (and a keyboard) as my tool.

"Pocari Sweat???!" - matabang tao sa commercial

yey! i'm blogging again! staying loyal to my oath... weee... haha!
so what days did i miss?
thursday - no classes - nothing much happened at home... haha
friday - haha!! very fun day! went out with 2B people and watched Rush Hour 3! but before that...
morning - nothing much happened - it was fr. rodriguez' bday! so we had no classes in the morning (wahaha... commentary & 2 quizzes postponed). it was obvious that the preperations for fr. rector's bday wasn't as much as fr. mazana's... but, o well, we did our best. and then, sabayan practice with 2B people at the 1A place.. haha.. it was kind of disappointing that only almost half of the class came because nothing much happened. and we really need something to happen because we want to prove to someone that we can do good even without him/her (haha) belittling (tama ba?) our capabilities. and of course, to achieve the main goal - to get that trophy for the champions.. so 2B, let's work hard for this. haha... after the sabayan practice, i was put in a dilemma because i still didn't know if i would be going to go with the 2B people.. i was glad i decided to go.. haha... some people catched a ride with me to glorietta, and we met the others at food choices... i think the people present were romano, lisette, jo, jr, jonas, j9, gela, marc, guia, lance, earl and allan (L-haha)... i bought taro quickly (mmm...), tuna plato wrap (DIET?) , and jumbo BBQ fries in potato corner (grabe, haven't eaten fries in a long time - no more diet, haha)... we went to timezone for a bit, then off to taters to buy popcorn and to the movie itself - rush hour 3... HAHA....
so we were a little early for the movie, and a lot of commercials started to show, and this was where the fun began... there was this REALLY weird, senseless, but totally FUNNY one about water... i'm not sure if it was trying to sell itself because its name was POCARI SWEAT..... what?!? it's like...... ten thousands spoons and all you need is a knife - haha... out of the thousands of names you could give a water, why the hell name it with the words POCARI (ang laswa pakinggan, haha) and SWEAT (the last thing you'd want to think of when drinking water) haha... so i researched about it a bit, and this is what i found:
The reference to the bodily fluid resulting from perspiration in the name of the beverage tends to have a certain offputting or humorous connotation for native English speakers . However, the name was chosen by the manufacturers originally for the purpose of marketing the product as a sports drink in Japan, where people generally do not mentally translate names appearing in English and are therefore not bothered by the connotation. It was largely derived from the notion of what it is intended to supply to the drinker: all of the nutrients and electrolytes lost when sweating. (The first part of the name, Pocari, means "like a cloud floating in the sky" or "a situation in which a cloud is floating in the sky" in Japanese, and has a connotation of lightness, buoyancy, and ease. "Sweat" was apparently intended to suggest diligence and its fruits - the idea intending to connote to the user that Pocari Sweat works to make one feel fresh and relaxed. However, some Japanese apparently drop "Sweat" from the name in common usage.)
haha, so that's why! the Japanese couldn't understand the name, so nobody finds it funny there!... still, the commercial itself was really funny! haha...
moving on to the movie... IT WAS SO FUNNY! the funny lines kept on coming! haha i was expeting a movie with many "nakabagdamdaming" action scenes, so i wasn't that thrilled because i don't like action movies a lot... but the 1st scene proved me wrong.. COMEDY movies are my love (i didn't know rush hour 3 was supposed to be comedy - never watched the 1st 2 but planning to now)... and the movie was more comedy than it was action... haha... favorite scenes : French nun - haha, she was so damn funny! she looks a hell lot like Professor McGonagall a.k.a. Maggie Smith (and i thought she was until i read Jo's blog, haha); The one where the chinese girl was first shown - she looks a hell lot like Ka-eun, haha!; GENEVIEVE (haha kahit malaswa); fight scenes (the one in the hospital and in eiffel tower)... and all other scenes i can't remember! haha... it was really really HILARIOUS!
haay.. since im really tired, i'll cut this post. long story short - i went home after DQ.. and slept... haha.. BOW

"Ang bobo ng DepEd" - isang nanay sa radyo

Weee! First time to blog! I wanted to try it because honestly, I'm bored, and I'm beggining to worry that my emotions would just burst (haha, as if) if I don't create an "outlet" for it, as mentioned in the commentary yesterday... plus, as they said, it would help improve my writing skills and vocabulary in english... haha, i'll try my best not to commit any grammatical errors! As of now, I'm thinking that the titles of my *hopefully* upcoming blogs would be the funniest thing a person would say (quote) the day I would be blogging. I named the blog not just a letter because my name is Kei, pronounced as K... and often, i have the shortest and simplest name in the crowd... it is of japanese origin BTW, and so it is not a girl's name (this has been questioned many times) :( :D... and well, i just wanted to emphasize that my character and my life isn't composed of just a single letter despite my name... it's full of twists, turns, and variations... (may sense ba? labo noh?)... it was the first thing that came to my mind... haha, anyway, before I narrate what happened today (wee, excited for my first blog), I would like to commit myself to this blog and not leave it unupdated... I'm making an oath ahem, ahem... "I solemnly swear to update this blog even though heaps of homeworks and other work are showering upon me." Hopefully, I will really commit to this... haha...
I'm going to start with my first blog ever (Weee!) with a recap of this week:
Monday - Uhm, it was the birthday of Ms. G. and 2B prepared for it... unfortunately, though i don't understand why, it was assessed as "may kulang pa", and ironically, the one who compalined about it wasn't the celebrator (yes, hindi celebrant nilgay ko!) :D herself... oh well, i don't know how much more we could have prepared anyway... moving on, English was first, we had impromptu... I don't know why, but speech activities make me SOO nervous ever since. I was shaking more this time because my last speech activity last year was uhm... let's just say that's the lowest Speech grade i ever received... haha... I was expecting that I would be called. And so, I was called... I don't remember the exact question, but it was something about humility thingy... anyway, it wasn't a disaster, but i could've done a lot better if i wasn't shaking with fear. After that, Music... Well, SIIGE's always the same - i go to the Music SIIGE room in the gym together with the other 2B SIIGE people, then strain my back for 1 whole hour.. as usual, i feel like i haven't learned anything... Then, CLE... BnB (haha) has not failed to bore me to death yet... Sorry Lord, but I wish you'd given us a less 2nd B and more 1st B teacher that would actually have the power motivate us to learn about you. Peace po tayo :D. and then science.. as usual, competition for recitation points... haha... i never knew that recitation could actually turn us against each other... haha... every time someone would give a wrong answer, someone would laugh and say "ngeeeh".. haha, it's fun anyway! lunch - discovered new food at last! tuna turnover sold at the junk food area.... I NEEDED TO FIND NEW FOOD! ANOTHER SUPERJUMBO HOTDOG ON BUN OR HUNGARIAN SAUSAGE WILL KILL ME! then as usual, chatted with the 2B people hanging out on the stairs... then, filipino which was... uhm... blah... then, math, as usual, I was loud and I couldn't understand the lesson and so i depended on my seatmates to help me... haha... Club - nothing much happened... WHAAT? so much for recap! actually, i just wanted to try to narrate what happends on a normal school day...
ANYWAY, let me fast forward to this day... this day was.. blah.. when i woke up in the morning, i was so frustrated because i slept having studied only 1 page of the computer ASss for the PT and it was raining HARD... i don't blame myself though, 2 out of the 3 AS wasn't explained at all and I couldn't understand anything written on those pages.. haha, cramming before eating breakfast as usual, trying to absorb what was written in those database ASss hoping that classes would be suspended... i was watching umagang kay ganda as usual while eating breakfast, and i suddenly felt "woken up" (labo) because they were saying "no classes" but then got really disappointed as the sentence continued.... "sa Malabon"... sobs... The rain poured in torrents as we left for school while I was still hoping that classes would be suspended.... suddenly, no classes in NCR was announced by someone from DepEd in the radio... i felt so relieved, happy, and mad at the same time.... they wasted the gas of thousands of people in NCR... they could have announced it a little earlier because it was pretty obvious that the rain was hard and that parts of NCR was being flooded. And then, I listened to the radio as parents were texting their frustrations... someone txted, "DepED, and bobo niyo, Department of EDUCATION p nmn ang pangalan ng departamento niyo".. haha, so funny... isn't it ironic? anyway, slept until 10 when i reached home, and this day didn't turn out to be the rest day i expected it to be... I finished the freakin' AVP in Social, made my science AVP, and wrote an article for insights... at around 6:40, people were posting in YM that there were no classes. Desperate for proof, I turned on the TV and listened to the announcement that there is indeed no classes tomorrow. I don't know what to feel... happy because a day to rest ahead of me, or frustrated, having worked my butt off over those stupid AVPs... anyway, i decided to feel happy... (WHAT?)... haha, i decided this because i remembered that i had midterms in nihongo on sat, and no classes tomorrow meant time for me to study... must maintain my top 1 spot in class! 15% discount on tuition is counting on it! (haha, nerd na nerd e)... but actually, nihongo classes are so different from the average academic classes... it's just that i do enjoy studying for nihongo, as opposed to math and computer anyway.... :D
hoping for a peaceful day tomorrow.... wohoo! no classes 2day, no classes tomorrow, half day on friday... life is GOOD! :D
